What you can do

On September 20, vote according to your principles. Make sure you are registered to vote, and mark your calendar for September 20 to go out. You can also vote in advance from September 10-13. Find out where to vote here.

Contact your candidates. Use this sample email to reach out to your local candidates by email, asking them if they can commit to adopting policies to promote a shift towards more plant-based foods in diets. You may also give them a call, or drop by their electoral office. Find who your local candidates are here.

Ask questions at debates. Attend your local candidates’ debates, and ask candidates about their position on promoting plant-based foods. Make sure they stay on topic and don’t dodge your question, so that everyone in attendance gets the information.
